**********TRUCKS BEING REPO'D*********** ******************THIEVES****************** ******** STOLE THOUSAND FROM ME****** I worked for this company for 2 1/2 years as an owner operator in their lease purchase program. After paying for my truck for 2 years directly to allstate they were to pay the company whom they financed the truck from. Come to find out after 2 years of making weekly payments my truck was up for REPO. ALLSTATE DID NOT MAKE A PAYMENT TO THE FINANCE COMPANY FOR 10 MONTHS.I was told by the finance company they tried countless times to set up payment with allstate in which never happened and now the finance company wants the truck back. I have asked for proof that the payments were caught up and never heard anything from them and now I can’t even get a call back. STAY AWAY but I'm pretty sure they won’t be in business long being that I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to.

They are in my strongest experienced opinion on their way out.Bait and switch tactics are rampant.Unhonered agreements. The list goes on and on. There is less than a handful of decent honest people there.Turnover is high not only in the drivers sector but also in the rest of the company from what I have gathered. They paid me 80% because I found and negotiated my own loads.Which is not hard at all to do.I from what I was told was the only one doing this and getting 80%. It was way more than mileage pay.So….Existing ASE drivers.Demand 80%!!! Even if you don't find your own loads. But know what the lane pays as well. I was promised a L/P truck after 30 days in a filthy 725,000 mile rental truck that I had to go to MO to retrieve. They in the end HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO L/P TRUCKS TO OFFER! Because in my opinion the company's credit is not allowing them to do so? STAY AWAY DRIVERS! You have been warned...

Pros

Honestly no pros worth noting. Shady at best.

Cons

Not sure how to describe. But the management ,safety, and owners mentality is in my opinion criminal in nature.

Maintenance escrow accounts in lease-purchase situations are typically mandatory, often funded from settlements on a per-mile basis to account for variability in weekly mileage. These escrows are meant to protect both the carrier’s and the lease-operator’s investments in the truck. At the end of a lease or in the event of cancellation with a 30 day notice, the funds remaining in the maintenance escrow should be refunded to the driver. However; ASE retains the balance. This is an unscrupulous and illegal business practice that robs drivers of their hard earned money. All State Express 121 Shields Park Dr I, Kernersville, NC 27284 www.allstateexpress.com

Pros

Quality equipment is available for lease through Ryder and Penske.

Cons

ASE doesn't reimburse for scale tickets. ASE doesn't offer Prepass or EZ pass. Drivers sit for days waiting for load assignments. ASE does not pay interest to drivers' escrow accounts throughout the term of the lease. ASE does not refund the balance of the maintenance escrow to drivers at the end of a lease term, or in the event of lease cancellation with a 30 day notice. (This business practice is illegal.)

Pay is good as long as you know how to manage and calculate your fuel. I manage to be home every weekend and still make $2-$3K a week. My truck is running great!
