Former Employee - Oct 2, 2020

I just recently went through the hiring process and got hired. I was told that I had to go to Jacksonville Florida to get truck. Problem was, I had to pay my own way there. I was told by the dispatcher that I would be reimbursed for the trip there. Upon getting there the truck wasn't ready. No permit book. And once I turned the truck off, which one of the sales people started before I could even get outside to the truck. The truck wouldn't start back. I set for 30 minutes trying to start it back. Went inside and asked if there was something I was missing. Was told that it was an issue with the key but keep trying it will start. Called company about it. Got the run around basically about the whole situation. In the end I only got $50 back oyt of the $250 I paid out of my own pocket to go back home after a failed start. Still haven't received the money I spent going there! Fair warning, stay away from this company!

Pros

No pros at all. Except I thought the dispatcher was cool. But now I see he just lied to me. Like a bunch do.

Cons

Lies, deceit. Bad place to mess with

As close as you can be being an independent owner/ operator without all the headaches and anxiety of paperwork and DOT audits. I book my own freight to where I like to run, negotiate my own rates, run how many days I want to or not. But when I go home, I don't have to worry about ANYTHING, dot AUDITS AND SO FORTH. Just my next load leaving out when I'm ready to ride.

Pros

Freedom to run when and where I want

Cons

Some restrictions but none that applied to me.
