The company manager told me that because it is a predominately Hispanic company. When the owner realised they would work for next to nothing he would only pay $10-$12 dollars for sometimes around 80 hour work weeks and some of these guys have 30 years + experience :/
I was paid $11 when I was there and some weeks there are no loads so you get no hours.
Pros
No slip seat, Easy work, Local, Home every night, Automatic Volvo trucks, Equipment up to date, No touch freight
Cons
Low pay, Slow days, Live unloads, Management, Discriminatory
