Ratings and Reviews

Hirshbach had a great business plan... Accommodating and first impression, orientation was over the top... But they have some logistics issues... too much time on their contracted loads... My only real issue with this company was something I had read about them on reviews before I worked for them... I had researched “MANY” different transportation companies, but this is the only one that had multiple reviews telling me they will falsify your DAC and employment history... Well, I Chose a different company due to those reviews... and went to a much worse company.. US Express... I eventually went to work with Hirshbach... and worked with them for nearly 2 years... It is true.. they falsify your DAC... I had a backing incident that I was at fault for... and had an animal strike and a truck stop hit while sleeping... They listed that one twice... and the one I was at fault (but no police report) essential they listed me as having 6 at fault accidents ... There was only “1”!!!! I spoke to them about it and sent them photos showing the time stamp where I had reported the incident... even after I had sent it the first time... documented all of the information... so I thought they corrected their error... nope... it’s intentional... They never corrected their internal records... and it is not an oversight... It’s a con job... They either have the impression that If they falsify your report you will have to come back to work for them ... or they are just pricks trying to tarnish someone’s reputation because they refused to continue doing business with them... but at the end of the day... they are 100% con artists... I have data where they sent a list to this one company two different accidents and then they added those same accidents on the back end to another report... That is not an accident... it was added many months after I had separated my contract with them... I seriously doubt they could pay a judge enough money to try and convince someone that was an error... it was the same incorrect information added at the return of the truck from months earlier and it wasn’t added until 5-6 months after the separation... Horrible... cons, thieves, and criminals are always exposed and put to light eventually... They also pay to have negative reviews scrubbed from the internet... I can not find any of those previous reviews from 2018 when I was researching this company! I spent a little time working in the Automotive industry and they would bend over backwards and pay people ridiculous sums of money to remove negative comments about their company... or you can pay some slick computer programmers to remove them... But it’s a shame that someone would rather operate unethically and pay someone to erase the voices of the people they wronged... Be weary of Hirshbach if you are a career Truck driver... If you are just looking for a quick buck and are retired and don’t need a pay check... it’s ok... They pay more than most for people who are willing to work,,.

Pros

Pays better than most large carriers

Cons

They have a con-man culture and will falsify your DAC... It’s not an isolated issue... They have done it to a multitude of truck drivers!

Good company to work with if you want fake kindness and the opportunity to get stranding with no way home. After 15 years driving, Hirschbach was by far the worst company with the best trucks. I had no accidents, violations, or late loads. I was told when I had problems with an account manager that I needed to leave my truck at a truck stop and find my way home. They will also not allow you to complete a lease or purchase it. They will take it all and pretty much anything else that is owed to you after you leave. If you want to take risk with people that have no morals, this is the company! They also beg drivers that work for them to give them good reviews to minimize the negativity. I am being really honest guys. Change your plans and go with another company! You will not regret saying NO! To those of you that decide to still try it, good luck and I do wish you the best!

Pros

Good trucks

Cons

Nothing bit good trucks

Safety department does not know safety very well will blame drivers for every incident regardless they were at fault they will call it preventable and after you make multiple truck payments they will cancel contract with you in take truck away you'll lose everything this is a scam stay away. Very very few drivers will ever on a truck working there and they will feed you and starve you on your paycheck that's how they get drivers to leave and take their trucks up some them

Out if 7.5 months with hirshbach contract was terminated they said because of 3 late deliveries in 6 months my personal opinion is because I complained and bitched about the lack of bring home pay repeatedly went weeks without bring home pay all money made went to truck and not paid for repeatedly sitting waiting on loading or unloading and wait time to receive a response after sending in message with a question and not getting an answer when calling for questions sometimes being hung up on instead of answering and just lack of communication with my DM not enough information on termination policy during orientation and just big scam for lease operators to screw drivers out of pay and never really own truck because of high notes high insurance rates and double charging for comdata use and they just do not care about drivers all they want is freight unusually high miles in between drop off and pick ups and mis managing of drivers hrs

Pros

Nice trucks

Cons

Time waisted by DM (logistics) and trip planners and inside cameras that infringe on a driver's privacy office lack of driver appreciation

Hirschbach Lease Purchase from the beginning

Hirschbach Lease Purchase from the beginning

I am going to Hirschbach Orientation on Monday November 13, 2015, which is my grandson's first birthday.
I am going to do the lease purchase thing. I am not going that way because I lack the resources to buy a truck, I am doing it because I want to see if a lease purchase through this company is a good thing or not. I am exploring. Those of you who know me, know that I have the business background to succeed but I tend to get fired. I am not a natural truck driver. So, if I can succeed in this venture, anyone can.

First the truck the recruiter talked about is an International Pro Star. Cummings engine. I do not know what year or how many miles it will have on it when I get there. I have an idea of what they are worth based on talking to dealers. Do I want to work for the company for three to five years and end up with a used truck? No. I am interested in making a living now. Not a used truck in the future. So the dangled carrot of a purchase does not tempt me.

Hirschbach is a reefer company. I like reefer work. I enjoy driving at night and reefer work is steady. They go to NYC and I don't mind going there. According to the recruiter, and we all know what kind of faith we can put in recruiters, the target goal is 2250 miles a week. That should make all payments and bring in $1000 pre tax a week. Last reefer company averaged 2900 per week. Hirschbach and my other company have many over lapping costumers, so I figure same miles.

I will post once a week and keep you all informed on how things work out.

Tomorrow, I take a rental car to Orientation. They are to reimburse me. I had the option of a bus ticket but that isn't going to happen ever again.

My time with Hirschbach

My time with Hirschbach

Okay like I promised:
Week 1 1,358
Week 2 3,065.11
Week 3. 803.54
Week 4. -392.45 (missed payroll deadline- bills were in the truck while truck was in the shop getting repairs- oops)
Week 5 1,683.16
Week 6. 1,399.70
Week 7. 284.54
Week 8. 817.88
Week 9. 516.84
Week 10. 372.09
Week 11. 2,249.82
Week 12. -779.70 (payroll issues with receiving paperwork)

Average weekly 948.21

Weeks 7,8,9, and 10 I was dealing with family emergency and was in and out of the hospital. Worked just enough to pay for the truck. During week 7, early in the week my fiancé was hospitalized fighting to stop labor at 33 weeks. Week 8, my son was born while the fiancé was at 34 weeks pregnant so that was high stress. Weeks 8 and 9 I ran hard as quick as I could so I could return to the hospital to spend time with my fiancé and son who was in Nicu or however you spell that. Basically intensive care for babies born premature. Week 10- I went back out over the road again with a new DM.

However, I want to thank Hirschbach for allowing me to run a partial week and just enough make the truck payments and getting me back to the hospital for 3 weeks straight. They gave me a load from Indianapolis to New York and deadheaded me back to get me back to the hospital. I don't know how many companies actually would do that.
