Pros
Pay is good. Equipment is well maintained. Dispatchers will work with you. Get gifts for safety. 99.999% no touch freight. Prepass and paid tolls. Detention pay after two hours after appointment time (if arrived on time).
Cons
The most I’ve had to sit after unloading is 36 hours. Generally, that’s if I’m in Laredo and that’s when there was a big storm in Mexico. No bonuses.

All in all a good company. 2500 to 3000 avg.
Good equipment, well maintained. One concern is they are putting cameras in all trucks....

Just want everyone to know about IWX and the way L in safety screws over people! If I had it to do it over I would NOT have taken this job! First of all, any time there is damage to the truck or trailer they will take that money out of your check until it is paid. Second, there is NO recourse in the state of Misery because this is a right to work state which means the employer can do just about anything they want, and that includes taking money out of your check for just about any reason and the employee can do nothing but take it!! It is my personal opinion that between the two people S C & L S, anyone that has worked or does work at IWX knows what those initials stand, they don't have enough heart to pump blood for an ant!!! It would cost more for the power to blow both away than they are worth!!! How can you let a man work for you for a whole week and then take over fifty percent of his pay, for something that should be company expense? One other thing, if anyone out there has an Attorney name in Springfield, MO that might be of help I would appreciate it very much. I understand there is at least one that really has a problem with IWX? I could say a lot more but can't use the words that I would like to so. . . guess I will quit, wouldn't want to offend anyone's virgin ears!!!!

They run hell out of you, don't know about Pa. but doubt it because they run teams Springfield MO and Kingman AZ and they usually relay freight with a lot of Canada. They have great eqp but I hear their drivers complain about always working weekends.

I worked there for 5 years. There are a LOT of rules and most don't make sense. They have a tendency to change their policies without bothering to let any drivers know. Over all they were decent though. Excellent maintenance program for trucks and trailers. I don't think I have worked anywhere else that could match their shop set up.

I worked or them back in 2001 and 2002. Great company as far as maintaining equipment, but do not damage it. If you make sure to do a complete pretrip check before hooking to a trailer you will do great. Same on drop and hooks like at Walmart DC's if there is damage call it in before hooking up and take pictures of the damage.
Lots of miles while I was there, kind of depended on the dispatcher, most would accommodate requests if they could. They would run we from the west coast thru to Edinburgh IN yard and let me know when it had to be there to drop and hook. If you were late would have to delivery the load. Turn and burn was the favorite phrase.

They just upped the pay at IWX to .52 per mile as of the first of the year. One drawback is that they have cameras in all the trucks, both facing the road and the driver. It takes a little getting used to. The pay is good though, and they keep you pretty busy. Plenty of home time if you live near a terminal.
