They let you drive to the shipping location waste youre time/money fuel to find out you’re load has been taken by who knows ??? 1:30 prior to appointment..” WTF”!!!

I'm new 3rd paycheck messed up, this bothers me. I'm new here and early issues could be a problem. I've been at this for 20 plus years and experience with these simple things makes me nervous.

I could say a lot of bad things about JAT, but honestly, they aren’t a BAD company... they offer the benefits a driver would want, and as much time off as you want. Loads of respect, decent equipment and trailers, which they have been upgrading for the past 2 years. They only real problem is the pay!! The medical will put a real hurting on your paycheck! I routinely work 60-65 hrs a week to bring home $750 for the week.. Being a single breadwinner, that doesn’t go far these days... They will not budge on the pay, but you can sacrifice more of your time, and go regional or otr,(42 cpm)..Or they offer a “supertrucker” (cough) plan where they “maximize your hours” and you basically become their b$@#¥ for a minimum of 14 days at 50 cpm. THAT pay is nice, but the hours are unsustainable.
If you are independently wealthy, or your spouse contributes heavily to your budget, then this could be a place to retire...
Pros
