This place states that safety is their number one priority but yet they failed to follow OSHA safety regulations which resulted in my 20 year old sons death at their Sylacauga, AL plant. They have yet to try to make things right either even when they were fined $50,000 for not following 5 OSHA regulations for confined space!! They knew what the OSHA regulations were yet they never even acknowledged them! If safety was their number one priority then my son would still be here! If they are such a family company then they would actually try to own up to the fact that they failed my son & us!!! They have tried their best to keep all of this under the table & quiet for 14 months now!! Yes I have proof of all of this too!!

This company is a horrible place to work. The management is very dishonest. Dog & Pony orientation. Nothing but lies. No training. Does not prepare you for job. Do not work here. If you do take a job here, you will either eventually quit or be fired.

Pros

Good trucks. Ken worth T680 automatic.

Bait and switch method. Went to orentation with big promises of home everyday, $1300-1400 per week M-F and only occasional Saturday. At the end of the second day of orientation this person comes in to tell us it’s six days per week and after explaining the routes that we may have to stay overnight on some runs which tells me you’ll be spending half the next day getting back to get reloaded. Working on load percentage you’ll starve. When I questioned them on this BS scheme they got real defensive. Some of the people that get to orientation have quit their job for this one only to find out they’ve been lied to. I guess the company feel you’ve given them two days and now they can shove it in. Not this guy. Don’t fall for their smoke and mirrors. I left the second day and felt like I wasted two days. Keep looking.

Pros

Great sales pitch, free lunch and dinner and nice hotel

Cons

It was all a dog and pony show.

Weekends off . OTR drivers get pay only .50 cents per mile . Hard job . Don’t waist your time

Pros

Weekends off

Cons

Bad family health plan and paying OTR nothing .50 cents per mile to pull and unload your tank. Be ready to take $700 at home .

This company will screw you out of every single dollar they can. No respect for drivers or how hard they work. Greedy bunch of people especially the VP of Operations! He is the biggest scumbag and treats drivers like dirt. If you question your pay his famous response is "you should be happy you have a job!". I worked for them in south Texas hauling Frac sand. They robbed me and all of the drivers out of every dollar they could possibly get their hands on. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET EVER GETTING INVOLVED WITH THEM. There are so many other companies which pay more money and actually have respect for their drivers! They have no schedule either. They expect you to work 7 days a week and you have to BEG to get days off. You'll only get them if they approve and they'll tell you more times than not you can't have them. They'll claim that they have too many drivers off the days that you want to take off!

I work for J&M Tank Lines out of Marble Falls Tx. I haul calcium for them.Till someone pull in front of me back in 2012 and ever since I been on workers comp. But I'm still a employee of theirs. My guess the frac sand hauling part might have a different dispatch team then I had,but to me they have good dispatchers. They never try to force anything on you.You should receive a sign on bonus. Most of the trucks are newer models and most are KW.Pneumatics are easy unload. The owner of J&M Harold Sumerford saw me coming back to the yard when he was in MF,he did a turnaround back to yard just to meet me.I went through a 3 day paid company orientation in Hondo Tx at the Best Western. Sometimes they will fly a person to Birmingham AL for orientation. I never been to their company picnic ,but I know that they give away great prizes.$1750 wkly guarantee is great, because most companies don't have guarantee pay. The company benefits are good too. The other thing that impress me is all the top people were at one time truck drivers and when they are short of a driver one day the CEO or COO might be behind the wheel. Before I was injured I enjoyed driving for them and looking forward to driving for them when I get off of WC. I don't know if they offer housing. But your right about Odessa,I think it's one nasty city
