I applied and after a week and a half and 3 calls to hiring manager at home office...no response on their part. So talked to the hiring manager in Valley Park, Mo. 3 conversations with him, 3 promises to call me and nothing. Clearly a bad sign. After reading reviews, it’s for the better. And they’re the ones that had the ad. Wow

Pros

There are not any pros.

Equipment needs updating . Paid every Friday and nights weekends off. Hauling loads of trash . Landfills are closed nights by 5 p.m. and weekends. Its a bit of a dirty greasy job but I like being home at night and off weekends. There is work available weekends for certain landfills.

Pros

2 to 5 loads a day . Depending on the area you run in.

Cons

You will get dirty.

Hostile and toxic environment! Supposed to be TEAM KRD but hate and animosity created and encouraged by Manager to distract from his incompetence! Highly do not recommend working at Detroit location.

Pros

Local job and checks are always good

Cons

Hostile and toxic environment! DANGEROUS

KRD trucking (Transfer trucks)??

It's pay-per-load ($50 usually) so to make any real money, you need at least 3, preferably 4 loads a day. The line at the landfills to dump can get extremely time-consuming, flat tires are a common issue from running crap over in the landfill, usually in my area guys get to the landfill at 4 am to wait in line on their 1st dump. I've talked to a couple of their drivers in the past and they put a lot of long days in for not so great $ and the benefits weren't very good either (this was 2 years ago when I talked to them so maybe things have changed). I passed on it, just didn't seem like a very good deal and a big mess to deal with...
