This company is an amazing family owned Company with incredible people. The shop is top-notch, the trucks are well taken care of and look sharp, Safety, truck washing, Trainer, Payroll, HR, Insurance all fantastic to work with and all around great people! The older Cox family seem genuinely honest and want to carry on their parent’s tradition of running the trucking. With that said, there is a big cancer that affects the drivers… dispatch. Your bonus relies on them and they always run as reactive than pro active and do not know how to run teams. I have never had so many drivers complain when we meet up about A. and R. I was kept hearing how great Leroy was that left and how rude and poor these 2 are. We never hit our bonus due to always, “Needing a favor” or “We are in trouble, you have to”! But rude, rude, rude. Was told R. has to call buddies at CR England on how to do his job and A. prides himself very smart, but cannot run his great plan going if cannot get past emergencies. Asked multiple meetings, but these 2, keep Coxs’ out of it, to hide problems. Had senior drivers of over 10 years tell me they are leaving. There turnover is great now, not as it used to be. The Cox’s may want to talk to their drivers to find out the problems than pay to train new drivers with increased turnovers. We were very honest when we hired on of what we were looking for. B. Cox hired us and dispatch, had other ideas instead. We tried to go along with the new ideas but always an emergency and cannot make money docking, live loads and hours in Los Angeles traffic and hour waiting for a load as a team. Solos have their own problems. We did our job, they did not do theirs, even so far as to threaten our job multiple times if they were questioned and even made to run on a safety issue. Drive’s beware – your in these 2 hands, not the great people that work there. Right is right, wrong is wrong…..and these 2 dispatchers are just wrong & terrible!

Pros

Equipment, shop, support staff absolutely awesome!!

Cons

Dispatch determines your bonus. In a perfect world, allows us to reach to do better, in an imperfect world, 2 in charge are morons and you cannot make bonus due to them running always reactive than pro-active! Company on lower end of the scale as far as pay.
