Pros
Good pay and home time for OTR drivers
Cons
Poorly maintained and aging equipment. I drive a 2012 Cascadia and it has broken down 4 times in 6 months. It's time they update their fleet. Daycab jobs start at $15.75 in NC where their headquarters are and is well below industry standards for the area

Pros
Local driver so I'm home every night.
Cons

Well, I have been with Salem for 6 months, now.(got my bonus check today. And I got to say I really like my job. Salem and MI windows are both great companies. I have received every bit of pay that I was told I would receive and then some. Some days it sucks because it hot, like today, (Brownsville, Texas) and your unloading 400 plus windows. But, I got my exercise. I have not seen snow this winter season as I run I10 and I20 and occasionally go up to KC and Saint Louis. Most weeks I leave out Saturday or Sunday and am back Wensday night or early Thursday morning. Last week was the exception and didnt make it back til Saturday morning, but it will be a very nice paycheck. Help pay for the new bass rod I just purchased. Usually off for 2-3 days but this week did a quick 34 and grabbed a Sunday night load to the border and back then pick a short haul to georgetown,tx(home). take a few days off then leave out Sat/Sun...I don't really have any complaints, I have figured out that some jobs work for some people and attitude is half the battle. Sorry for rambling on. Just want to say that I reaally like my job, it works for me. Safe travels to you all.
