The pay isn't bad if the truck doesn't kill you, and you don't mind taking a lot risk that jeopardize your CDL.

The trucks I drove all had hazardous chemicals or fumes in the cabin and sleeper. Riding with windows down only worked for a few hours before experiencing negative health impacts. My pay checks were a few hundred bucks short, and I was asked to take too many safety and citation risk.

Pros

They keep you rolling.

Cons

The equipment is deadly hazardous and risky to drive more than 3 hours.
