While there are worse companies to drive for, I wouldn't recommend it for experienced drivers. The pay is definitely on the low side for drivers with 5 or more years experience. While the new tractors appear nice on the outside, they are incredibly stripped down (no boost, scale, or axle temp gauges), and they are also incredibly slow. 63 on the pedal and 65 on the cruise "supposedly" but on a really good day I might be able to average 61.5 mph in a 10 hour driving day. When I started with system it truly was a good company. But ever since Sr stepped back and Jr took over, the company's focus has shifted from being a driver centered company to being all about the profit and they ain't sharing with the drivers.

Pros

Good DM, excellent regional manager

Cons

Pay, equipment, leadership at the top of the food chain.

You want to tarp every day, then here's your company.equipment is good on maxi fleet, but I have personally seen Otr driver Ac Went out and in AZ at 90degrees won't fix the truck,b's I would drive to the nearest KW dealer and say here you go fix it or get me another truck, period.

Pros

Good money

Cons

Try tarping 4,5 times a day, waiting for loads. Especially on weekends, night dispatcher don't have a clue

The other drivers don’t seem to know what a pretrip is so constantly stuck with other drivers problems on trailers. Get paid weekly but if they can use you they will! So forget about plans with the family this weekend. Your the only one available for Canada really can’t complain get repairs in a jiffy and constantly have loads the main problem I have is other drivers not maintaining the trailers and when you drop every other load well gonna see a few trailers.

A lot of very positive improvements over the last year. I came back after about 9 months away, and it's almost like a different company. Problems and attitudes in the shop and warehouse have been resolved. Very positive improvements.

Pros

Lots of miles, shop is very improved, fair pay. My manager is excellent.

Cons

It's trucking, not a nine to five hourly job.

Any current system trans drivers with any information? I start orientation June 22nd will be flying out Sunday and have been assigned to the AZ regional fleet.. I'm very interested in hearing from current drivers. Thanks.

How many miles does the avg new driver run per week? Is it the posted 2800 to 3000 or is it much less?

System Transport/DTS school

Wanted to start a rough journal on how my experience goes here. There hasn't been too much information about system I could find, so I thought I'd help out everyone else if I could. So I'll be updating this weekly through my schooling at DTS(In house truck driving school) and then once I'm actually on board with System. Stay tuned peeps.
