est Overnite Express was founded in 1987 as an asset based regional LTL carrier. We have remained privately held and first generation, family run since the inception. Best Overnite started out as a California based carrier with the idea that a dependable and consistent overnight service across the state was a need that wasn’t going away. Customers wanted an option for that reliable service that offered a personalized touch found lacking at the publicly traded or national based, conglomerate carriers. By establishing itself in the early years as a niche carrier focused on differentiating ideals Best Overnite was able to expand its service area to cover the entire west, starting with Arizona and Nevada, then Utah, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest states. Today, Best Overnite’s service area extends to the Midwestern states and across the borders of the US into Canada.
