dispatch/planners or terrible , no back hauls - lots of empty miles (bad attitude) u will sit if u don't take cheap loads .

Pros

Lots of home time !!

Cons

office attitude is awful , I really don't think they try to get back hauls on outbound freight - dedicated loads are very cheap

I've been with Dana since Jan '04. I do OK, not gettin' rich but they treat ya like a human most of the time. Some terminals better than others. The chemical business can be frustrating at times. Sometimes there are long delays...but ya get paid demurrage after 2hrs. 150-200k depending on type of work ya do. Only warning is watch your settlements, they tend to make mistakes, you need to stay on top of them.

Dana Transport is a great company to work for, along with it's sister company, LTC (Liquid Transport Corp). Owner-Operators do very well, so long as they are willing to make the effort. Loaded miles are higher than ever. I heard some of the long haul guys make between $175K-$240K last year. Of course, the higher end are the guys who live on the road.

I was hauling fuel oil back in July of this year on a dedicated run for Chevron that lasted 3 months. There were 5 Dana/liquid transport drivers on that run too. Anyways, not all of their drivers are on wolfs but they were in the process of switching over. This is all second hand info but the guys I talked to (all owner operators or lease operators) said they were paid 70% of the haul. I don't know if all loads are percentage because chevron was paying a flat rate to haul the fuel oil. They all seemed happy with the company. Their trucks all had liquid transport decals and they were pulling Dana trailers. I was told it's the same company.

The trucks I saw all had ez pass in them but the drivers complained that they were useless as the safety record is so bad they get red lighted all the time.

I'm with Dana/Suttles/TC. I'm not out of the east coast so I can't say how Paulsboro is but I know for a fact that we do have EZpass+. The pay here is good. And the accessorial pay(demurrage, air and pump unload, extra hose etc)pay good too and you don't have to hassle to get paid on them. We don't have elogs down here yet but soon I know. Some of the big accounts are starting to demand them anyway.
