I was driving for H&W when I became very sick . I had to come out of the truck because I had gotten to the point in my disease I was becoming a road danger. . I was very tired and weak like any good company H&W thinks safety and workers health first. H&W treated me better than any company I'd ever driven for. They were truthful if Doc the owner told me he was buying me a new truck the next week then I knew I'd have to set aside some time to go to the freightliner dealership to pick up my brandnew cascadia, its nice to roll one off the lot with 17 miles on it..then I would stop at metro trailer when dropping a loaded trl at the drop yard go down the street and grab another new metro trailer....H & W is not a mega carrier so when I walked in the office I was greeted like family not a trk number..an exchange most time included hows the wife and kids ..big difference when the owner of the company stays late one night knowing I was coming in late to check on how I was feeling..since he practised internal madicine in his native country so after reading my Dr's reports he wanted to reassure me I had good chances to beat the disease's...I absolutely hated leaving my job and giving up my new cascadia but knew I'd have to in order to give it my best shot to go through 6 + months of treatments while fighting for my life...well thank God I've come thru em and have been given medical permission to start exercising some...the treatments I underwent were hard on my body...so in a month or so when I get more strength and clarity of thought back I will be coming to see you for maybe just a parttime job..moving equipment . picking up abandoned trucks or moving new trailers to customers facilities...heck i'd take newbies out for a road test..anyway I'm ramble if you want a good job where they'll know your name then hire on to H&W now its not a hand holding outfit so if you need constant direction with a fm watch everything you do go to werner , western express or one of those companies..you want modern company with an oldschool feel.apply here at H&W..
Pros
Pro's were the folks in the office especially the didpatchers..and a good shop ..best though is a hands on owner..
Cons
the only con I had was being taken care of with all the new metro trailers Doc was bringing thru the gate..nice lite weight good hauling metro's
