Yeah. Can't believe any driver would give a bad review. This company goes beyond to accommodate drivers. Dedicated routes. Delivery to HL stores. No touch freight. Hub miles. Stop pay. Breakdown, detention, weather delay pay. Quarterly attendance/ safety bonus. (Recently raised to .03 cpm every mile you run for that quarter).401k (80% match when you save 5%). Paid holidays. Christmas bonus. Great insurance. That's just the pay! Best maintained trucks. All automatic and refrigerator in each. (Has the on dash gear selector. Might scare a few drivers afraid to take their eyes off the road for a second. Or you could just let it shift. Automatically. Bc it's an automatic.) Container runs are unfortunately built in to some routes. And if you don't like doing them at the beginning of your week, they'll work with you and you can do them at the end of the week. Incidentally, if you're not happy with your route they'll get you a different one. Possibly a route without containers. Might take a few months, but this company does everything within reason to accommodate drivers. On site clinic FREE to all employees. Real doctors and MRI machine. FREE. They stay busy but drivers can walk in and they'll do their best to work you in. All the little things. Free bottled water. Enormous drivers facilities. Covered parking. Just best company I've ever driven for.
Pros
Too many to list here.
Cons
If you're a solo driver they will find you a partner. Sleeper curtains make great neighbors.

Running shipping containers to Dallas from OKC and back is horrible for a team, containers have no air ride, co-driver gets no sleep, Probably the number 1 reason for driver turn over, the trucks are slow for team work 68, get a ticket the truck gets turned down to 66 for 3 years, slow trucks don’t make better drivers, Auto-shift on the dash is super dangerous, you have to take your eyes off the road a lot should be auto stick , No driver seniority. PPTO is good but not setup for OTR drivers, doctors note or you don’t get paid, HL has its own doctors office on campus but no walk ins, it’s biggest problem is no real world experience in Transportation management.
Pros
Grate Dispatchers, hub miles, trucks, steady loads, paid holidays, paid vacations insurance, 401k, safety bonus,
Cons
Upper management DJ needs to try a sleeper after work for few weeks on containers runs, if you don’t want to do containers they will fire you, Auto trans on dash, Slow trucks, no driver retention policy, single drivers pay low,

Hobby lobby transportation is based out of OKC, transporting to around 1000 stores all over the country, hiring drivers from all over except California,
Pros
Nice trucks, nice Oklahoma City shop, paid all miles, paid vacation and ppto, paid holidays, 401k
Cons
Slow trucks, if you get one ticket or warning it will get turned down from 68 to 66, no warnings, almost all teams must take shipping containers to South Dallas rail yard from OKC so you start your week off with two tired drives no air ride on containers, low low starting pay, usually work on holidays, 2 or 3 hours to unload then pickup for brokers need doctors note for PPTO or you don’t get paid so if you can’t get in to see a doctor but your to sick to drive you don’t get paid and the doctors

5 yrs with HL, home approx. 60 hrs a week (thurs night, fri, and sat) Great equipment. We team and both net $3300 a month. 5K miles per week or more. Dedicated route, same stores, Comfy volvo trucks. Its a good living and we are not killing ourselves. Hope to retire there. Dispatchers always have something to be desired, that is why I scored them 4 stars. Safety bonus every 90 days for no tickets. no accidents Bonus is approx. a weeks pay. We make 26.5 cents per mile each. Any run over 900 miles one way pays 28.5 per mile each. They pay Hub miles. We do 3 drops a week, and in addition to the milage, we receive $7.50 each first drop, $15 for additional drops each. If a store keeps us over 2 hrs unloading, we get $3.75 each for each quarter hr kept over. Nice to get paid this while your snoring team driver gets the same. Whether your on duty or sleeping, we get paid the same for all drops. We carry a company credit card for hotel, truck fluids, scale tickets, fuel. If you have to pay cash for something, reumbursements is done within a week or less. We are very happy there overall.
Pros
Depending on experience and time with HL, the pay is good. Equipment is great, home time is weekly.
Cons
Cannot think of a thing.
