Lew Thompson always had a fascination with trucking. He started with humble beginnings buying his first truck in 1983, hauling turkeys for Butterball. The first Lew Thompson office was in a phone booth at a local laundry.
As time went on he purchased 5 new trucks to begin his fleet. As Butterball grew their business so did Lew Thompson Trucking. The company quickly established a reputation for providing excellent customer service and for getting the job done.
His son, Josh Thompson, is now the President of the company, changing the name to Lew Thompson & Son Trucking, Inc. As of today, Lew Thompson & Son Trucking, Inc. has over 150 trucks and close to 300 trailers. The new home terminal sets upon a beautiful view, overlooking the Ozark Mountains on Hwy 412 in Huntsville, AR.
