I have been with them 3 months now. They have treated me fair so far. I run I-5 anywhere between Seattle to Los Angeles weekly. You can go home and get restart on weekends or stay out if you choose. My dispatcher keeps me busy and is awesome. We haul alot of Fred Meyer and Georgia Pacific freight. Also Ross Dress For Less. Physical is simple. Lots of LA freight. A few times I have gone to AZ and NM which is a relief to get off the I- 5 corridor if you can. It can be tedious! They start at .38 cpm but if you run 9500 per month or more its an extra .02 cpm. Good hire on bonus, good medical plan. They have been good to me thus far. Trucks are well maintained and I have a clean idle truck so I can idle in CA if needed. All Volvo and Freightliners. Blue Tree system electronic logs very easy. Dispatcher easy to get ahold of, all dry van. They are related to UTI out of Gary IN, which run reefer. Market is solely I-5 corridor.I park at the Portland Terminal and live 25 miles away in WA. Can run home if I want to shower, do laundry etc. Otherwise I try to take a couple days and stay out 2 weeks. Alot of drivers run 2300 per week and go home on weekends. Its your preference. Shop is friendly and the guys there know their business. Office personnel friendly and helpful. Terminal has good driver lounge, showers, laundry, big screen tv. Plenty of empty trailers, and alot of the time they preload trailers at the yard for going south. Good experience thus far.

Almost a month under my belt with the new company. All I can is that my experience with these folks and my 2 plus years at May is night and day. The way they do business is just so much smoother and efficient then my previous experience. I'm getting home at least 2 to 3 nights a week and am able to stop in another once or twice a week just to say hi.
I was seated on a Volvo 780 last week. The truck is great. The best I have had yet, and I've driven Pete 587, Freightliner Cascadia and International Prostar. It's the model that has the bench seating with the dinette table. Too comfortable
The miles have been much better than I expected running the I-5 corridor only.
Cheers!

I passed my one year anniversary at Market. There are plenty of pros: nice people, trusting management, friendly, helpful people in the shop, paid on time, the trailers tandems all slide without a battle, nice Volvo trucks w/ automatic transmissions. Healthcare thru Kaiser is a very much appreciated option.
However, like with any company, there are some annoying bits: the "getting to pop in at home" thing has become a rarity; DMs are under a lot of pressure to run their drivers >9000 miles/month which can be difficult to attain. Simply put, life gets in the way of their 9000 mile goal, and I rarely hit it. That means that my pay is lower, because you get a 3 cent per mile bonus when you exceed 9000 miles. On the other hand, a good work/life balance is very important to me. So after one year, I am staying on, at least for now.
