I work with PMTG for 6 months. We were 5 people in class. 2 of which quit in the first 3 weeks. The other 2 follows soon after. I had to stay because I really like working as a car hauler and wanted to collect some experience for future employment. I had a great time in Okemos during training. Jason (trainer) was a good trainer & hilarious as ####! Truck was well maintained although the hydraulic was very slow. And the pay... Man... The pay was extremely low. Not that because I am being lazy. I ran as hard as I can. I went off duty before putting my last 3 cars to safe some hr. And still not making money. In order for me to make above 1k. I have to put in per diem pay each Wednesday before 3. That's 60$ per day. For 6 days. Do the math. How much I'm making before per diem pay. Is insane! Till this day. I'm still wondering how the #### I'm hauling such a nice car. Porches. Special move m3 m4. But still making no money. Oh PMTG no wonder why your turnover rate is so high..
Pros
Good training. Good equipment. Good home time.
Cons
Pay pay pay pay pay. .16cpm deadhead. And less than 800 weekly. BEFORE TAXES!

I decided to go to CDL training while on S.S. Disability. While I found my chosen school and instructors beyond competent/qualified, unapologetic about their attitude towards safety and their high expectations for students, the big carriers had a problem with my lack of a "complete" work history. I ended up having to work, first, for an individual who drove his own truck & owned another which he hired out to a small company and then for another small company who both wanted me to falsify my logs. So, after walking away from the two of them after a stretch of about a year, a PMTG Recruiter called me.
From that initial discussion to ending up on medical leave two years later, I NEVER got a "hinky" feeling from anyone, ever. Quality people, well maintained equipment, and a company-wide, peformance and customer oriented attitude where the drivers are actually valued and treated as professionals who are expected to follow the rules and do the job as well as they can.
I never felt like I was a bother, never was asked or told to do anything illegal and always was listened to when I had a concern or problem with anything.
Pros
The people, company-wide, professional attitude, leadership, communication, respect for all employees, equipment and its maintenance.

Only been driving for the last 4 years or so. Because of being on SS Disability for a time, my work history wasn't as pristine as carriers wanted it to be when I applied. I ended up getting my 1st OTR job with an individual who drove, owned another truck & needed a driver. I did 48" flatbed for him for 4 months until he wanted me to falsely my logs ("Here's your key & fuel card, have a nice life!").
Then it was the same with the small company I was with next, only they took about 8 months (Bye-bye too).
PMTG called me 2 months after leaving #2, I went to Okemos, MI for orientation/training a week later & started driving.
Elec. logs, laid back/lower pressure environment & culture, safety stressed above all else, ongoing training, scheduled time off (that only I have screwed up), unbelievably well maintained equip. (1st truck was older than 1st 2 employer's & in infinitly better cond.).
Never, never, never a 'hinky' feeling from anyone. . . ever. . . since day 1, good money, good people AND I went from a 2004 to a new 2016 truck just before my 1 yr. anniversary (all the bells & whistles, like home away from home).
Pros
The people, EOBRD, E-LOGS, Schedules, Equip., Safety, Training, Money, Consistency.
Cons
14-16 days out at a time (not ALWAYS bad, though).

Began w/PMTG in mid-Aug. '15 at orientation & training after doing flatbed for 1.5 years out of CDL school. Everything was above board from day one. Everyone I had/have spoken to has 'drunk the Cool Aid' about everything. Driving, logs, communications, log keeping, everything. Never got (& still haven't gotten) any hinky feeling about anyone or anything.
• I've been treated like a fully functioning adult, shown respect, empathy & understanding at every turn.
• Pay has been just as it was represented from the beginning and has been significantly more than my last two driving positions.
• While my current assigned vehicle may be older than those at my last employers, it is in significantly better condition due to the company's practices of regular maintenance & prompt attention to breakdowns.
• Most importantly to me has been the fact that everyone is expected to tow the line when it comes to following ALL of the rules, ALL of the time.
I am very glad they found me and hope to be there as long as possible, grow, learn, and enjoy the fruits of my labor within an organization with such a high level of integrity.
Pros
True integrity at every turn from the top down.
Cons
Sometimes communication needs 'Trust, but verify' attention.
