Some of Reddaway is union... Some isn't. Most of their trucks in the smaller terminals are hand-me-downs from the larger ones. We run 2005 Internationals. Everything is goverened at 63. Standard company size trailers are 28/29 and 48 foot trailers and liftgates. We do have 53 ft trailers and some flatbeds in our inventory (but I've never seen them on the road before). Linedriver pay is better than P&D pay in my opinion. But more likely than not, you will run more unfavourable hours (depending how you look at working nights).
As for overtime? Not a chance in hell.

I've been with the Co. 13 yrs, and YES a good company to work for but when I first started, the company was standing alone and we were SPOILED. To think that when I started, there were drivers complaining "The Co. not what it used to be" suffice it to say that if I felt spoiled, then hell these guys were getting their monthly bonus handed to'em on a silver platter. The Co. has since changed with the Bestway merger and YRC taking over, and not to mention the economic downturn, but as long as the check don't bounce, then I won't either.

After two years working for Reddaway Las Vegas, I found them to be the most disorganized, deceptive company I've ever worked for. Their trucks average several million miles each and are the oldest, most broken-down, and therefore dangerous trucks I've ever driven in 25 years of CDL experience. Go by their yard on Cheyenne, especially on a Sunday when no one is driving them, and you will see a quarter of thier trucks with the hood up. This means there is something serious wrong with truck and you may want to choose another one. Reddaway doesnt bother to send them to a shop, they just sit in the yard broken-down. ____, the TM at Reddaway las vegas also has no problem hiring people for full-time work, knowing that they will only be working part-time extra-board.

I started at reddaway 6 months ago and I love it. It is a real trucking company with excellent equipment, great pay, great benefits, and great hometime. I highly recommend filling out an app with this company.
