My experience has been rewarding great home time the equipment is ok the pay is great on some weeks the miles are ok

Pros

Decent miles decent equipment dispatchers are good except nights and weekends the pay is great on some weeks and the benefits are awesome along with home time

Cons

The equipment could be better too much sitting at plants load planning could use some work and miles could be better

Trucks Gov at 70mph. Out 2 months 9 days home everything’s great $800-$1,300. Week! 23 years old first company. 7 Months with them! Yes you slip seat first but you’ll get you’re own truck within 2 weeks. It’s awesome if you’re single. Y’all can’t drive 2 weeks and really expect to make anything and whine about getting home for just 2 days. You gotta work too be rewarded.

Overall, a good starter company. Newer trucks and decent pay. OTR is out weeks at a time, regional is a 5/2. Most loads are reefer, sometimes heavy sometimes light. https://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/2019-analysis-of-tyson-foods.1394920/

Newer trucks, 58k+/yr pay, always a load, regional drivers can home garage

Cons

No detention pay, regional drivers don't recieve 'per diem', long waits in doors, driving is mostly night driving, no pets, high per passenger costs

Been with Tyson 8+ years. Never made under 70k a year. Last year (2018) grossed 81k. Great benefits including health, vision, dental and prescription. 401k and stock purchase with company matching. Paid on a sliding scale for short miles and layover available. Satety bonus paid quarterly. Paid vacation and holidays. If you are willing to work they WILL run you. Have company per diem available. Pay less taxes and take home more in your check or put extra away in your 401k. Putting 30% away and still take home 1100-1200 a week. New equipment and good service department. Never been questioned or refused a repair yet. Have a stricter policy for hiring drivers as far as tickets and accidents but better for us so DOT don't harass us. Give recruiting a call and tell them 00719923 sent you. Some of our locations have company cars you can sign out and go eat or shop, do laundry or just errands. Not many companies offer all the benefits we have and most are no cost or low cost to the employees.

Will use your truck while your out on leave. Have to empty your stuff out when you go home if you want to keep your stuff.

Great ???????? company been with them for 3 months and drive less(2500)miles and still make no less then (1,000) week EXCELLENT pay and they will ask u how long u want to stay home +

Overtop company pay with not even driving 500+ a day
