Wilson training managers at Springfield MO location has changed and it is not what it use to be. I’ve had a terrible experience in there CDL program. I’ve met many other students that were not happy with there trainers and safety director. If you do not know the whole pre-trip by the 3rd day, they will threaten or send you home. There have been more accidents and trailer drops already in 2021 than 2020 because of terrible training with students. You will NOT get paid during training for 3 weeks over the road for 10k miles. After you pass your CDL test you team drive 30k miles low pay starting at $300 weekly after taxes. You are not guaranteed 1k a week as a company driver, there are weeks you will only have $600 paycheck. This is not a long term company to stay with as a company driver.
Cons
Terrible OTR trainers, Only 5 days home time even if you worked over 3 months. Low company driver pay and no raises. .46 CPM no higher.

Home time is a joke. The weekly pay they talking about is a complete lie. They will keep you poor so they can control you. Dispatch is a joke. Stay far away from this company. If you not happy and leave make sure you have money to get home. Even if you give your notice and leave they will screw you out of money. Cost me 1700 to quit.
.
Cons
Will leave you broke. Weeks with no pay at all.

Great starting company if you do not have a CDL. Training took me 8 weeks to get through..My trainer and I didn’t go home during that time, which I was okay with since I wanted to get through it quickly. I drive as a company driver so I can’t speak to their lease op program. Starting pay is .44 CPM with that said I have never had a paycheck less than $1100 a week. Some weeks the loads don’t fall my way and I run less than 2,500 miles but my dispatcher rounds me up and I always get paid as if I ran 2,500 miles. I can’t complain about anything they really take safety seriously so don’t mess around or speed..like I said take the loads they send you get them there safely and you will be taken care of. My dispatcher NIkki is amazing always looking out for me and super sweet every time we talk. I can honestly say I won’t be leaving unless Walmart calls me for a job, you can tell the owner was once a driver. Thanks DW and the whole Wilson family for all you do for us!
Pros
Consistent paychecks
Always home on time or early
Name not a number
New equipment
Cons
Typical home time for OTR 1 week out 1 day home. Night shift can be a little slow but I think that is Primes sales department
