I currently work here as a company driver. No I did not get paid to leave this review. This is an awesome company to work for. They hire with 6 months of experience and if you have less than 1 year ypu will not find a better paying company to work for. I drive a very nice truck. My DM is super cool. It did take about a month for us to get into a rhythm. I make $1600 a week and only have 9 months of experience. Home every week. My first check was $1900 with the bonus. You have to be vocal about what you want. A closed mouth does not get fed. They will work with you. As far as lease purchase goes I know nothing about it. I dont want to pay for a truck that by the time the lease is over the truck has too many miles on it. As far as a company driver goes I am very happy here

Pros

Love it here

Cons

After hours its hard to get someone to answer the phone

They will waste your time. The recruiters will get you to orientation after you apply and after talking to them about their craigslist or indeed ad. Everything seems good and you think your hired even after a drug test where you live knowing that you have passed. However once there they will tell you that your not hired yet. They are not straight with you about that from the beginning they will send you to a physical but its another med card physical even though you might already have one. They also tell you at orientation that if you quit before three months they will back charge you for plane trip, hotel, drug tests, physical food, everything. Your at there mercy. Proceed with caution.

Pros

nice hotel

Cons

No transparency

I'm a LPO, & trucks are promised but not available, shop is ok, dispatchers are friendly but don't answer their phones. Really hard to get in touch with office, maybe hours or next day to get a response. Settlements are often incorrect, have to stay on top of your pay. Home time is good, miles aren't consistent, they only allow fuel from Pilot, Loves, Flying J. If they worked on their communication, & increase pay, this would be an outstanding company

Pros

Good dipatchers Good hometime

Cons

Terrible yard No communication Terrible pay

Good luck that is all I got to say. Good luck on your truck good luck on not sitting oh and I hope you’re a perfect human being who never gets anything wrong

Pros

Decent Equipment just hope you get a good truck

Cons

Shop is always busy or out of stock on parts and some loads on a certain contract are a guaranteed money pit for the driver on top of the loads putting you in some ridiculous situations

Riverside transport inc miles?

I'll save your soul on this one, Look somewheres else. I thought 6 months at walmart was the worst job I ever had until I did 12 weeks at rti. No miles, crappy trucks that are double leased and more. You can only fuel at PFJ and a I'm still trying to figure out how an annual inspection on a trailer never expires, so says the big chested safety lady!

You can send me a PM for the rest of the story!

Riverside Transport Lease Purchase?

I just quit RTI day before yesterday. They tell you that if they don't have the truck you want, that you get 10weeks payment free, but if they have the truck you want, you get a $2, 000 sign on bonus. Don't botherasking for a Kenworth, no one ever gives them up because they're good trucks! I was given a 2012 Peterbilt 587 and got "10 weeks free". Well, mydispatcher sent me a text message on Tuesday morning stating that I would be swapping trucks once I got back in Owensboro. They were going to put mein a 2015 ProStar which was fine because it had a cummins and not a max force! BUT, they wanted me to start making payments on the truck immediately! Ihad only been there a month and I still had 6 weeks left on my "10 free"! Just a week earlier I told Mike, who is the ops manager for Owensboro that I wasn't getting enough miles to make a decent paycheck(over $500.00) and I was given 2 loads back to back that were 733 miles each. Then it went right back to 112, 212 and 333 mile loads! 95% of their loads come from and go to Ragu which is literally right across the street from their terminal in Owensboro! Mike told mehimself they didn't have very much freight! I told Mike I couldn't afford to make their truck payment of$553.00 a week when I was only bringing home$500.00 a week!! My third check, was for $2, 663.00out of that check I only got $514.00! They deduct so much, you're pretty much paying to work for them! Inever signed a lease thank goodness, or I would havebeen screwed!! My suggestion, STAY AWAY FROMRTI!

Riverside Transport Lease Purchase?

i quit them about a month after i started. Now they do have a good lease but what they dont tell u is they only have 1 customer which is ragu and most of there loads are only 150 miles out every now and again you might get lucky and get a 500 mile load but the thing is everyl load i got after driving the 150 mile load i was waiting at least 20 to 30 hours before they would find another 150 or 250 mile load. Needless to say your gonna be owing them money. Do not go there. 1500 miles a week and they think there doing there job and getting you miles

Anyone have info on RTI (Riverside Transport Inc.) Lease purchase???

I worked for RTI, run as fast as you can! worst 12 weeks of my life. 12 weeks and only 29k miles. had nothing with but problems with my dm. poor communication. pay never right. took for ever to get my safety bonus for a level 1. don't fall for the all inclusive full service maintenance. your paying into a pool on a deal that is already included in the lease for where ever the got the truck. Plus, it is not a walk away lease!!!!! Left and went to JCT. Whole lot happier and I'm not in the poor house either
